Hazrat Luqman علیہ الصلوۃ و السلام was one day giving sermon of maturity and intelligence to his students and friends. Everyone was listening to his lesson very carefully. One man was sitting in sermon and was seeing him very attentively. He was feeling his voice recognizing. At last when he got done with sermon, he came forward and said that I used to graze the goats on some place in some time. There was my one partner of grazing goats. The face and voice of that man was completely like you. Yes I remember I am that same man. Hazrat Luqman AS said that man got surprised and said that how you got this status? Hazrat Luqman said: From two things. One to speak truth. And second to not talk without need.

Advice of Imam Shabi رحمتہ اللہ علیہ  to Imam Abu Hanifa رحمتہ اللہ علیہ :

Hazrat Imam Abu Hanifa was going to market one day for some work. He met Hazrat Shabi رحمتہ اللہ علیہ on the way. After seeing his face he thought that he is some student. Therefore, Hazrat Shabi رحمتہ اللہ علیہ called him near and asked: O young man! Where are you going? Imam Abu Hanifa replied that I am going to one business man. After listening to him Hazrat Shabi رحمتہ اللہ علیہ said: I mean from whom you study? After listening this he got embarrassed and said that I don’t study from any one. On this Hazrat Shabi said” you shall sit in company of scholars. I see the pearls of talent in you. Imam Abu Hanifa says that this thing of Hazrat Shabi رحمتہ اللہ علیہ remained in my heart. I only remained of knowledge only while leaving the market.
